Illinois Governor Signs Law Allowing Recycled Roofing Shingles in Asphalt
Our friends over at ForConstructionPros.com alerted us to some important legislation being passed in Illinois which will allow the use of asphalt made from recycled roofing shingles for both businesses and within the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
The Governor’s office estimates that this new legislation will save the state more than $8 million annually.
Governor Pat Quinn, ”In the midst of one of the busiest construction seasons in state history, we must continue to embrace green practices in building our roads,” Quinn says. “This law will keep more shingles out of landfills, benefit the environment and save the state millions of dollars by expanding our use of recycled materials.”

KM International at the 2011 APWA National Conference Colorado
KM International will be attending the National convention for the APWA in Denver Colorado. Booth # 447
The show runs from Sept 18-20, 2011.

KM International will be at the Schaumburg Convention Center for the Chicago APWA annual public works show.
The show dates are 24th-26th of May.
